Scale Setup

This guide will help you integrate a USB weight scale with the platform so that the weight field is automatically populated with the amount listed on your scale.

Note: The Webshiplink app is no longer supported on the Mac OS due to changes they have made on their operating system causing it to be incompatible.

Click the Settings tab.

Under “User Settings” select “Scale Setup”.

Enter a scale name and click "Add Scale".

This will provide you with a scale token. Copy the token as you will paste it in a later step .

Tip: if you click the copy icon next to the token, it will copy to your clipboard.

Next, click the download link to get the latest version of the WebshipLink application for your computer. (*If you have already downloaded the Webshiplink to use for your printer or ODBC connection, you can skip this step.)

Open the installer and let it run. When finished, you will be asked to provide the scale token from the previous step. Paste the token into the Scale Token field in WebshipLink, and select a scale from the drop-down menu.

The system will connect to the scale automatically. A green dot will display indicating the scale is connected.

Zero your scale, then place the package on top. Then click the “Scale” button and your weight will automatically be input into the “Weight” box. Repeat for future orders.

Note: You can change which weight unit you want by selecting the weight unit tab.

Multiple scales are supported with this process. If additional scales are necessary, repeat the above steps to add additional scales. Be sure to set a scale as a default by clicking next to the scale name you wish to be the default.

**In order for the scale to read you will need to have the Webshiplink app open. If you would like to have the Webshiplink app open automatically visit the help center article: Configuring Webshiplink to Automatically Startup for Windows

Deleting a Scale

From the scales listed, locate the one you want to delete and click the red “Delete” button on the right side of the Server Token listed.
