Content description in the platform is a text field for additional shipping information. When creating a new shipment the content description will be blank and if selecting a shipment from your orders list, the content description may contain the details from the shopping cart/online store.
Adding Content Description Presets
The Content Description field can be set with preset lists to allow for quick processing by selecting details from a dropdown menu.
Click the Settings tab.
Under “Admin Settings” select “Content Description Presets”
Enter the Content Description in the box and click “Add Preset”.
A list of any previously saved presets will be displayed.
To delete a preset content description from the list, click the "X" next to the description.
When creating a shipment, you will see your preset content descriptions in a list. Click the Content Description box to see the list or start typing to find the description you are looking for.
Override Content Description
When shipping orders from an integration, you may want to override the description that comes across in the order details. To do this, you will use the override feature found in the settings.
Under “Admin Settings” select “Other Settings”
Under Batch Tab and Ship Tab Options is the Content Description Override option. Enter the Content Description to be set as the override description on all orders.
Click “Save Changes” when finished.
Now when shipping from the orders list or a single shipment, the Content Description will always be pulled from the text entered in the Content Description override setting.
