Integrating your XPS Ship account with Volusion allows your customers’ orders to be directly transferred from Volusion to XPS Ship, providing quick and easy shipping. Orders will be marked as “Shipped” in Volusion and send a tracking number once the shipping label has been generated. The steps below will guide you through the process of integrating your XPS Ship account with Volusion.
Note: You MUST have a Volusion ‘PRO’ plan or higher in order to have API access for your store.
Obtaining an API URL
You will need to obtain the API Key (URL) to connect your Volusion store with XPS Ship.
Log in to your Volusion dashboard.
From the menu, go to Customers, then select Administrators.
Create a new Administrator by selecting Add.
Enter all details for the new Administrator. Set the Access Key as Administrator and click SAVE.
Note: You can also limit access to the API only in the Customer Access Rules.
Next, log in with your new Administrator Account.
In the navigation bar, select Inventory and then Volusion API.
Click Run next to Generic/Orders.
Click Run at the top of the page. A new field containing a URL will be displayed.
Copy the URL as you will need to paste it into your Volusion Integration settings for XPS in a later step.
Add a Volusion Integration
Open a new browser window and log in to your XPS Ship Account.
Click the Settings tab.
Under eCommerce select eCommerce Integrations.
Click Add eCommerce Integration.
Select Volusion.
General Settings
Add an Integration name, “Volusion” will be the default, but it can be changed to anything you’d like.
Check the box if you want to have a confirmation email sent when orders are fulfilled.
By default, the Active box will be checked.Check the box if you want to Skip address Pre Verification on orders.
Check the box “Include Packing slips in confirmation email” if you’d like the packing slips included with the confirmation email once labels have been generated.
Volusion Settings
Paste the Volusion API URL you obtained earlier in the corresponding field.
Enter the type of Pending Order Statuses you wish to pull into your orders list in Webship. Orders with the status of “Processing” & “Ready to Ship” are the default.
If you want your order status to remain unchanged in Volusion after booking, check the box “Don't mark orders as shipped”
Additional settings are available related to the Sender Address and Return To Address. Edit if necessary to your integration.
When finished, click Save New Integration.
When the integration is saved, you see that the connection has been established at the top of the page.
Orders start syncing and appear in the shipping area, this may take a few minutes.
