Other Settings


The purpose of this document is to familiarize you with the Other Settings section and the options it includes.

Note: Some options are only available for Admin Users.


To access Other Settings:

  1. Click the Settings tab.


  2. Under Admin Settings, select Other Settings.


Batch Tab Options

Enable barcode mode on batch - keyword field will be auto-selected after each save.

Batch Tab and Ship Tab Options

  • Additional Reference Features: To learn more about these options, visit Shipment Reference.

    • Disable write-in for shipper reference value (user must choose from presets)

    • Use the name and SKU from first item on order as the Reference & PO Number for the shipping label

    • Enable second shipper reference when available

  • Content Description: To learn more about these options, visit Content Descriptions.

    • Create Content Description From Item SKUs Instead of Item Titles

    • Content Description Override

    • Don't Populate Content Description With Item Info

  • Keep the previously selected service type and package type when selecting new orders

  • Use carrier insurance only: Will use carrier liability instead of third-party insurance

  • Shorten address fields to 35 characters to ignore XPS Ship validation errors while booking FedEx shipments

  • Default AES/EIN Number: For details, visit: Setting a Default AES EIN.

Ship Tab Options

  • Require the shipper reference to be provided when booking shipments. For details, visit: Shipment Reference.

  • Require the department number to be specified when booking shipments. For details, visit: Departments.

  • Require Importer of Record to be specified when booking shipments. For details, visit: Importer of Record.

  • Don't automatically show the label after the shipment is created. For details, visit: Disable Automatic Label Popup.

  • Use the e legacy label popup even in Chrome and Safari.

  • Auto-save recipient addresses. (Only available on Ship tab) Saves the new recipient address entered into the Address Book.

  • Show alternate quote errors. Will show quote errors (i.e., UPS service not available to P.O. Box).

Users

  • Only allow users to view their own address book.

  • Only allow users to view their own history.

  • Hide order item prices for non-Admin users.

  • Only allow XPS Ship Admins to approve Prepay recharges. For details, visit: Only Allow XPS Ship Admins to Approve Prepay Recharges.
