Address Verification

Address Verification will check the addresses you enter into the receiver field of the shipping page, and validate if they are real addresses or not. When using the platform, you also have the option to skip the Address Verification process.

Important: Addresses are verified using the USPS Address Verification API. This does not always guarantee that unverified addresses are not real addresses, but USPS is usually correct.

Click the Ship tab.

Select an order, or enter in the receiver’s address information.

If the address information is verified as correct by USPS, a small green highlighted section will appear with the text “Address Verified by USPS” under the quote.

If the address information is found by USPS, but not verified a box will appear with the text “Did you mean” under the quote. This can mean that USPS has a verified version of that address, with the correct "+4 ZIP", Suite, Apt., or Street name. If this matches the address you were shipping to select "Use USPS verified address"

If the address information is not verified as correct by USPS, it will come up red telling you the address cannot be verified.

Skipping Address Validation

When processing large orders from a shopping cart or CSV, sometimes it’s more time effective to skip the address validation process. Skipping the address validation can be achieved by indicating to do so in the eCommerce Integration settings.

Click the Settings tab.
