Organizing your orders into separate batch groups is useful for several scenarios. If you have multiple workstations assigning orders into separate batch groups can prevent two or more workstations from attempting to book the same orders. Follow the steps below to assign a batch to a group.
Create a Batch Group
Click the Batch tab.
You can filter for the orders you would like to add notes to. In the example below the filter is for orders that contain SKU 711109.
Select the checkbox next to the orders you would like to group, then click Add (#) Orders to Batch.
You can assign the Batch Group any name you prefer, or keep the default name, which is based on the date and time it was created. Click Create.
To resume editing shipment details, print packing slips, or complete booking for a Batch Group, select the group name from the dropdown menu.
To return to orders that have not been grouped select None from the dropdown menu.
To remove orders from a Batch Group, select the group name from the dropdown and click the trash can icon.
A popup message will appear. Confirm you would like to delete that Batch Group by clicking Yes. The orders previously assigned to the group will return to the list of orders that have not been assigned into a Batch Group.
If you are not working in a batch group but want to find all orders that apply to the filters you have set including those that have been added to a batch group, check Show Orders from All Batch Groups at the top of the Filter box.
Printing Batch Group on Packing Slips
You have the option after creating a Batch Group to print the batch group name on the packing slips.
Click the Settings tab.
Under Admin Settings select Packing Slips.
Under Admin Settings click Show batch group information on packing slip.
Select Save Changes at the bottom.
When you go to print the packing slip you will see that the option to Print Batch Information is checked by default, and the Batch Group # and name appear below the order number.
If you are printing the Inline or PDF packing slips, the Batch Group # will appear at the top.
