All USPS claims require some form of supporting documentation. To help us successfully provide a timely resolution to your package issue, we ask that you follow established guidelines when providing merchandise descriptions, proof of value, and photo documentation. Insufficient supporting documentation may result in delays in the processing of your claim or the denial of your claim altogether.

Description of Items in package
Detailed merchandise descriptions for damaged packages are needed for all USPS claims. For the section Description of Items in package, please provide a comprehensive merchandise description.
Examples of acceptable item descriptions include:
"2 Textbooks Science Today
"Women's size 7 Pink Nike Sneakers"
"Casio Scientific Calculator"
Examples of unacceptable item descriptions include:
"Misc. Merchandise"
"Gift for Freind"
"Broken Item"
Photo(s) of the damaged shipment
For the section Please upload a photo(s) of the damaged shipment the photos should display the following: A photo of the damaged item(s) in their entirety, the photograph should show the damage to the goods. The damaged item(s), inside the original box or packaging, with all the internal packaging material used inside the box (e.g. bubble wrap, Styrofoam peanuts, cardboard dividers, etc.)that was used to protect the item inside the box during transit. The external packaging (e.g. shipping box, bubble mailer, cardboard tube).
Acceptable photos should be clear and in focus, not blurry, too close up/far away, too dark, or too small to recognize what the picture is supposed to show.

In an effort to prevent a denial of a damaged shipment claim, in addition to the photos above from the recipient, we recommend including pre-shipment photos- This should show the item and a step-by-step of how it was packaged.
1- MCM White Ceramic Sugar Bowl (New)
Bubble wrapped in 4 layers of inch bubble wrap and taped.
inch bubble wrapped placed on the bottom of a new USPS Large Flat rate box (12" x 12" x 5-1/2") with brown Ranpak paper to cushion the sides.
Additional brown Ranpak paper is placed in the middle to cushion the bottom.
Bubble-wrapped item is placed in the center of the box.
Additional brown Ranpak paper was placed on top to fill the remaining space.
The box is closed and sealed H Taped (all seams) and is not bulging.
Invoice or Proof of Value
For the section Please upload the invoice or proof of value such as receipts for the damaged product. The invoice should ideally include the sender and receiver, as well as the line item description of the damaged item(s) and price.

For the section Please include a copy of the communication from the recipient stating that the item was damaged.This can be an email or text from the recipient communicating to the shipper that the item was damaged. (If the correspondence is not in English, please include a translated copy.)
