Inventory Locations


Inventory Locations are to manage multiple locations for warehouses or inventory storage in regards to specific eCommerce platforms. Inventory Locations are currently only supported for the NetSuite, Shopify, Square and Magento 2 integrations.


Adding an Inventory Location

As an Admin, click the Settings tab.

Under “eCommerce Settings” select “Inventory Locations”

To add a new location, click "+Add Inventory Location".


Fill in the location name. Your changes will automatically be saved.

Click to the left of the inventory location name to set the default and a checkmark will appear next to the location.

Clicking "+Add Inventory Location" will add a new field at the bottom of your existing list if you need to add additional inventory locations.

To remove a location, click the red " X" next to a location.

Select your Inventory Location in Integration Settings

After adding the locations, you will need to select the location in your integration settings.

Click the Settings tab.

Under “eCommerce” select “eCommerce Integrations”

A list of your current integrations will appear, select your integration.

Under "Inventory Location Mapping" your Inventory Locations will appear. Under "Webship Inventory Locations", select the corresponding location you created in "Inventory Locations" from the drop-down to match the location.

Select "Save Changes" at the bottom.

Setting a Default Inventory Location per User

Under “Admin Settings” select “User Management”

Select the user you wish to edit from the list and click the pencil to edit.

Scroll toward the bottom of the User Settings, you will see the Inventory Location settings.

Select "Lock Inventory Location for this User" if you'd like to lock the inventory location for the user so that any orders processed under this user are set to a specific location.

Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the User Details page to save your changes.


Note: Shopify requires us to send the location information back with the update, so if your shipment contains items that are not from the default Inventory Location you have set in XPS Ship, you will want to change Inventory Location to match.


In the Ship Screen

After selecting the service and packaging, you can select from the different Inventory Locations in the dropdown.

In the Batch Screen

After selecting an order, in the edit panel on the right, you can select from the different Inventory Locations in the dropdown.
