Wix Error: Not Updating Received Status Code 403

If your Wix Store is not updating the information after the shipment has been booked, this is due to the user permissions being set to “Read Only”.

On the left side of the shipment select the eye icon.

Clicking on the eye will bring you to a more detailed overview of that shipment. On the right will be a box with the update status error: ”Received status code 403 while making a POST request to Wix” .

Click the link below to bring up the "My Apps" page in Wix.

Wix-My Apps

(You may need to log in to your Wix site.)

Select the app you used to connect to XPS Ship previously.

(Usually called My New App 1)


In the menu on the left, click "Permissions" and then click "Add Permission" in the top right corner.

*If you already had one of two of the permissions selected previously such as "Manage Orders" it will display on this page. You will need select the missing permission, i.e. "Read Orders" in the next step.


Select “Filter by category” and in the drop-down menu, choose "Wix Stores".

Select the checkboxes for:

  • Read Orders

  • Manage Orders

Select "Save" in the upper right corner.


Return to XPS Ship.

Select Dashboard from the navigation bar


Scroll to the bottom to Ecommerce Integrations, select your Wix integration.


At the bottom select "Reconnect Integration".


You can now return to the History/Track Tab and select "Retry Marking Order as Shipped" from the dropdown arrow next to the shipment.
