Squarespace Integration


The steps below will guide you through the process of integrating your XPS Ship account with Squarespace.


Note: You must have the Squarespace Commerce Advanced plan and above in order to use this integration feature.

The Squarespace integration does not currently pull in weight information. However, you can use the commodity mapping option to associate an SKU with weight. To learn more, visit the Help Center article

How to Add Commodities

Log in to your Squarespace admin site.

Click "Settings" on the left-hand side of the page.

Under Settings select "Advanced" and click on "Developer API Keys".


Click "Generate Key".

Enter a name for your API key. The name will not matter for the setup with XPS Ship. Under Permissions select the "Orders" option, and under Orders select "Read and Write".

Above the Key name in the corner to the right, click "Generate Key".


Click the "Copy Key" button to copy the API key, as you will need to paste it into your Squarespace Integration settings for XPS in a later step.

Add a Squarespace Integration in XPS Ship

Open a new browser window and log in to your XPS Ship Account

Click the Settings tab.


Under “eCommerce” select “eCommerce Integrations”.


Click "Add eCommerce Integration".


Select Squarespace


General Settings

  • Add an Integration name, “Squarespace” will be the default, but it can be changed to anything you’d like.

  • Check the box if you want to have a confirmation email sent when orders are fulfilled.

  • By default, the Active box will be checked.

  • Check the box if you want to Skip address Pre-Verification on orders.

  • Check the box “Include Packing slips in confirmation email” if you’d like the packing slips included with the confirmation email once labels have been generated.


Squarespace Settings:

  • Paste the API Key you copied earlier into the API Key field.


Additional settings are available related to the "Sender" and "Return To" address. Edit and apply as necessary to your integration.


When all details for the integration have been completed, click "Save New Integration" at the bottom of the page.


When the integration has been saved, you will see that the connection has been established at the top of the page. Orders will start syncing and will appear in the shipping area, this may take a few minutes.
